almost all blu ray players and discs are region free, even the £40 ones

if you are playing through your computer simply just download a codec pack. iknow windows media player can mess around with region locks and unable you to watch certain dvd's

@Norwegiantweaker. Would VLC have the codecs built in? If so, he could use that to play the Bluray discs. VLC tends to have loads of different codecs built in.

Hmm. Most that I see are actually region-coded for Blurays (but are often region-unlocked for DVD playback).

 

ABC (aka. multi-region or region-free) Bluray Players are often either modified units or ones coming from smaller brands. Mod kits can be bought to unlock some branded players.
