New Computer Internet Troubles

Hi all,

I put together a computer yesterday and have been having issues downloading files.

It connects to the internet fine but has issues downloading various games and files.

Example: Downloading Planetside 2 results in the launcher telling me that something is corrupted and to try again later. (I have done so twice)

When downloading things through google chrome, they sit at 99/100% with the green circle full and just sit like that.

Help?

Thanks,

Longbow

Ethernet drivers updated?, or maybe try with openDNS, or other dns service.

Which part specifically would be the most likely issue if this is the case?

The 99% download thing is an issue I had with a failing harddrive. It never said it was failling with any diagnostic tools, but the harddrive was clearly bad, I would get your hard drive checked. Possible RMA. If you have any other hard drives try them

I am using a Samsung 850 PRO 1TB SSD.

It seems to download to a flash drive just fine. Could this really be the issue?

Check if your firewall is making the problem, i used once comodo that did the same.

I used to have a problem where my download speeds would slow to 0mpbs.

Some tips:

-Upgrade router firmware

-Try using wired without the Wi-Fi router if you use a seperate wifi router

-Limit your internet speed in your router settings to your internet plan speed

The problem I had last time was that my router somehow likes to exceed my internet plan speed, and when it does that, my internet connection will pause.
