are we ready for full power 4k gaming?

I have been thinking about getting sli with 780ti (2-way) and checking some benchmarks with games like BF4, Crysis 3, I doubt if spending over 1000$ gives me solid 4k gaming performance?

 

Please pour in your views on this, so that I can decide to be happy with 1440p or burn my pocket for 4k beauty.

I am pretty sure dual 980s would be better then 780ti gratned 780ti are still good cards but 980 has better overclocking and that extra Vram for 4k. but i may be wrong.

They are, but even for 4k gaming they're still not enough.

i advise against 4k gaming seriously just get a 1440p monitor its way cheaper and great quality

When I was in London at Eurogamer I was playing Crysis 3 at 4K, the System had Triple SLI 980s and that was gettin pretty decent FPS, but that was on Triple 980s. But hey it still looked sick as tits

With the new 344.something nvidia driver i could run my benq xl2720t on 4k , so i was getting pretty excited about it. Guess i will just calm down and wait for volta or watever is next.
