$800 White/Blue i5-4690k GTX 970 lighting

Hey guys!

So I'm building a pc for working and some gaming. My build specs are:

                  i5 4690k

                  AsRock z97 anniversary

EVGA GTX 970 (might go with EVGA GTX 750 Ti ftw since no stock and I don't really need such a crazy graphics card)

                  Kingston Fury 2x4gb memory

                  2 x Kingston HyperX 240 gb SSD

                  WD 2TB red

                  Corsair H100i cooler

                  NZXT S340 white case

                  Corsair CX500m PSU

I also got an enterprise 2TB PCIe SSD card from my dad, I might put it in too  :)

So I have a white case and I want all the parts inside to be blue-themed. The motherboard, RAM, SSD, and cables will all be blue, and the graphics card has blue accents. I might also paint the graphics card white because it looks absolutely stunning.

I want to light up the case as well, either with blue or white, but I want it to be very subtle, almost like an underglow, not bright to the point that light flows out of the case. I've heard about bitfenix alchemy LED's, but they seem quite bright. Do you guys have any suggestions? Should I go blue or white?

Do you like my idea of a white case with blue inside?  :)

Thanks!

I'd say go for it! It will fit the upcoming winter season well also. Go for some blue lighting, but put the LEDs somewhere near the back for more subtle lighting.

Also, the difference between a GTX 750 Ti and GTX 970 is HUGE. You can get a EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Superclocked ACX and SLI it later, because they are becoming really cheap now and are in stock pretty much everywhere.

Go with 970. 750Ti seems a little weak for a new build, plus 970 is great value. The H100i is rather noisy, so keep that in mind. Other than that, it sounds like a sweet build.

To be honest I'd sell that PCIe SSD, the money alone for it is enough to buy at least 2 rigs like that LOL

I'd change the PSU from the Corsair CX to an EVGA G2 750W or higher - this sets you up for future SLI, and the CX PSUs are horrible (I have one) in terms of reliability. The OEM is fairly poor, whereas EVGA in the G2 units give you a 10 year warranty and the OEM are SuperFlower, who are up there with the likes of Seasonic. Great internals in the G2 PSU's, bad internals in most-all Corsair PSUs
