What do you reckon ?

Wobble_99

What do you rekon of this £850 build (on pc specialist ... dont juge me)

Im currently saving up for this . The games I'll be playing will be WoW ,LoL and DayZ @1080p

I5 4460

Gigabyte z97x gaming 3

Gtx 760 (if 960 comes out by then ill get that)

Phantom 410 case

corsair cv650 (80 plus gold)

Cool master evo 212

1Tb WD black

I choose this mobo because it will support 5th gen processors when they come out. Thats why I choose the 4460 instead of the 4690k as I knew I would be upgrading

Thanks for looking :-)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

I like it, is good. you still can get a cheaper cpu if u're planing to upgrade to a k latter on.

Hey there Wobble_99,

The build looks great. Since you plan on getting a next gen i5 down the road, you can go with a cheaper CPU for now (depending on your needs) and later use it somewhere else (NAS or a second small build) or just sell it. the Z97 MOBO also gives you the option to have multiple GPUs if you decide to do that so I'd keep it.
GTX 9 series is a great improvement. I would go with 970 since it has the best value/performance ratio for now and it is likely to stay like that even when the 960 comes out. Although WoW and LoL are not that heavy games, the new expansion of WoW that comes out in less than a month should put some more presure on the GPU at 1080p.
WD Black is a great drive designed for gaming and heavier workloads. I would keep that as it has 5 year limited warranty and is likely to keep your data safe. I would throw in a SSD if your budget allows it.
Regarding the PSU, I would get a larger one (600W-650W gold-certified) to leave more room for future upgrades, OCing and to last through more future builds.

Although WD Green is a great, cool and quiet drive and works great with SSD for secondary storage ( as @Rheinwasser suggested), it is designed for keeping backups and not to be used as a main drive. It would work but you might experience some slow loading speeds from it in case you run out of space on the SSD and need to store primary data on the SSD. I would also check out WD Blue as it is the perfect drive that delivers performance almost like WD Black, it is secure, quiet, costs less and it is the most common pick among users that like to combine separate SSD with HDD. Hope this comes in handy,
