Yeah it's a fact, because of what defines a gaming monitor.

Maybe your opinion for a good gaming monitor is a slow IPS 720p 20" monitor, but that's not the general consensus.

The best monitor depends on person to person,

I would prefer the Xstar dp2710 over the swift. By a ton. So don't try passing off your taste as fact.

No, thats not my idea of a ideal monitor. What works best for the individual is the best for them, no one else. There is no monitor that is the best for everyone. Yes spec wise the Swift is fairly good but that doesnt make it THE best

With higher latency, less features, horrible contrast ratio, thick bezels, and the rest of the same stuff?

The best 'gaming monitor' is defined by the specs, not personal preference. It may not be the best for your usage scenario, but it is for gaming.

You do realise as well OP has an AMD graphics card so why spend extra for a feature(a major one at that) you could never use?

preferably like a 27 inch 1440p 144hz one? :P (if my 290x can even run games at that resolution)

What defines a gaming monitor in your opinion? That may differ between people. Have you ever seen a Korean monitor in person? Id say not so dont judge them like youre a pro. All your cons against it are false

Then this is an example where it is not the best monitor for his usage scenario. But that doesn't mean its not the best just because some people can't use one of its features.

What makes it the best is the fact that it has all the features a gaming monitor should have.

There is only one that fits that which is the Swift but I dont recommend it. 144hz is irrelevant for your single 290x

Peoples definitions of a gaming monitor differ. How do you not understand that. Youre trampling others opinions and saying that it is factually betetr when you have no way to back it up.

Well basically speaking of 27" 1440p panels, fast response time, low latency, minimal input lag, 144Hz, gsync, good looks, thin bezel, good controls and menu.

And the swift does most of this this better than the rest of gaming monitors on the market.

Which is why linus agrees it is the best "gaming monitor".

Just go watch linus' video of it. I'm not going to bother explaining myself to someone who doesn't listen.

You're basically saying that 'oh some people want a 30Hz gaming monitor so their opinions are different' when really the objective of a gaming monitor is fast refresh rate low response time/input lag.

but it is for gaming.

That depends on the type of gaming you are doing. If we are talking about competitive reflex shooters, then yes you are right.

If we are talking about immerse color-rich games, such as modded-to-balls skyrim, then you are wrong.

I see. Well I was mostly thinking about competitive gaming, but you're right.
