Multiple backups on one HDD + External Drive Recomendations

Matthew12106

I have never really backuped any HDD but I need to backup some important files now. I'm looking for a drive that I can use to backup all my computers but I don't actually know if you can store more than one backup on a external HDD can you? Also onto the recommendations I am looking for a 2tb external HDD. I have been look at the

Transcend 2.5 inch 2TB USB 3.0 Military Grade Shock Resistance Portable External Hard Drive

Mainly because it's usb 3.0, its shock resistance + is has this one touch backup button no idea what it does but it sounds helpful? What do you think

Thanks

The amount of backups you can store depend on how much space you have on the drive, vs how much data you're backing up to it.

If you have 500GB of data you want to back up, you will be able to fit 3 or 4 backups on a single 2TB drive.
