Vista Home Premium install

LogicalDrm

This shows that even I need some clarification over Windows version stuff.

So I'm in search for Win Vista Home Premium ISO. 64bit is probably fine but question is, does it matter to which version OEM key is? COA sticker doesn't have any information about which version it is for. Also tell if language or SP gives any problems.

Language and Service Pack might give some problems. I think the 32/64 bit part matters too.

Yeah, the OEM key will only work for the version that it's for. If the sticker is Home Premium 64 bit then you'll need a Home Premium 64 ISO

The SP does not matter. I've tried. Since MS uses same activation method for all SP's, and they're just updates

Well that is... obvious. I'm more concerned about service packs and language. Those will make this bit hard.

Nope.

Not sure about language but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't matter either, cause again MS is activating all these by version to make sure you're not getting more features then you paid for, not by what language pack the ISO comes with. SP for sure though doesn't matter

Thanks for quick replies. These and one post from Tom's hardware made this easy after all. Even my own Vista disk wasn't in my language so I would copy that one if I'd still have it. Now the only problem is code itself but thats something I can't do anything about. Or really need since my job is to make boot DVDs only.
