How well does the AMD 7850K and R9 270 perform together in gaming?

I assume no bottlenecks with the two.

I plan on using my PC for moderate gaming, nothing too serious.

I'm going to disable onboard graphics since I'll be unable to Dual Graphics it with the R9 270, so I'll have no use for it.

why go kaveri if you're going discrete GPU?

go for a fx6300+ 270

If I were you, I would opt out for a CPU, not an APU.

If you already own the APU then yeah it will be fine.

Only worry about bottlenecks if you buy something like a 780TI with a 1 core CPU.

did you buy the cpu?

if not then get the 760k instead or 6300, 760k is the same cpu as the 7850k but without the cpu graphics.

I would say get Athlon x4 760k because it's the same processor without integrated graphics and it's cheaper.

I already got the motherboard which is an FM2/FM2+ socket. But I'm deciding what CPU to get

then get the 760k like the others have mentioned, imo the best route you can take since you have the board already

getting the 7850k won't be different from the 760k if you disable the igpu in games

Would but the 760k but the only Micro Center that is near me is the only store that sells any decent computer parts. They only have the 7850k, 7700k and the 6800k with the socket I need

buy it online, such as newegg, ncix us, or amazon or go to frys if there is one in your area

Purchasing in stores is the only safe method for me, but if no where else has it, I'd go online. Thanks guys for the help

What motherboard do you have?

Also the guy is only wanting to get one GPU not two...

As others have said, get the 760K and use the extra money to upgrade another component, like your gpu, or get a better cooler :)

I have two systems with APU's, one with the 7850k with a R9 280x, and a 5600k with a R9 270x, the only game that would benifit from a better CPU would be Planetside 2 (from what I know, there might be like 1-2 more games), other than that, it should work just fine, though an i5 would be a better deal.

Unless your CPU is maxed out at 100% im sure you're not really bottlenecked.

I run 2 GTX 760's with the same CPU, I do get better performance with an i7 4770K but thats because its overall a better processor.
