New ram no boot

So I got 2 sticks of 2 gb each ram and I put it into two slots and the computer turns on but shows nothing on the screen.

Also the ram is ddr2

Make sure the memory is installed in the correct slots. Consult your motherboards manual or google. If they are, try and reset the BIOS.

How do I reset bios

open the manual and look for bios or cmos or reset
