How to get GMod fully up and running without errors?

So I recently got Gmod from a giveaway, and when I try to play it, there are a ton of missing textures all over the place and I was wondering on how I am able to get rid of these and get the game running at its full potential?

Only way? Got to wait then, need to find time and money to go buy steam cards, which is S$36 for USD$20..

You could probably buy the games separately but I think it cheaper to buy the box

It requires source engine games to run.  You can download CS:S bases to remove those errors, but I'm not sure about the hl2 textures.

Bases? Without buying the game or buying it? If it requires purchasing, then I will need some time to buy the steam cards
