Good, decently fast SD Memory Card

DoubleY

The SD memory card for my camera decided to commit suicide, so I'm in need for a new SD card. What's a fast (100+MB/s), reliable 16, or 32 GB memory card?

Why do you need 100+ MB/s?

if you're looking for something that fast i assume price isn't an issue so why not go for more speed http://www.amazon.com/Lexar-Professional-1000x-CompactFlash-LCF32CTBNA1000/dp/B007BXD66E
although i would suggest something more reasonable like this which has adequate speed http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D6Y0U8E?tag=thewire06-20&linkCode=as2

If he's taking uncompressed photos and videos i'm guessing he'll need that much

INTEL CORE I5 4670K | NVIDIA GTX 980 | NOCTUA NH-L9i | GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI | KINGSTON 120GB V300

CM STORM QUICKFIRE TK | BENQ XL2420TE | ROCCAT SAVU | FRACTAL DEFINE R4

As in, they need faster transfer times to reduce in-camera processing times?

i would think for transfer speeds, as an example a raw image shot with an 18 megapixel camera is only going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 25MB although that number will depend on a lot of things but still i can't see the speed of the sd card changing processing times significantly

sandisk extreme pro is the closest I can find

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-Frustration-Free-Packaging--SDSDXPA-064G-AFFP/dp/B007NDL54C/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1406594163&sr=8-28&keywords=sandisk+extreme+pro+micro+sd

if your camera has both SD and CF slots like mine does, then a blazing fast compact flash card might be worthy investment

if you have a CF slot and want a blazing fast CF card get this: http://www.amazon.com/Extreme-Pro-32-CompactFlash-Card/dp/B00F3BLMLW/ref=sr_1_19?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1406594371&sr=1-19&keywords=compact+flash

in my experience sandisk cards have always been the fastest thing you could get your hands on.

the closest in terms of speed

is up to 95MB/S

I will suggest Sandisk Extreme Pro SD cards

http://www.sandisk.sg/products/memory-cards/sd/extremepro-sdxc-sdhc-uhs-1-95mbs/

and yes they are really expensive

any higher you will have to go to CompactFlash

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

512K speeds it what it matters with that kind of workload as far as i'm aware, not sequential.

The one I use is Toshiba Exceria Type 1 HD, it can easily handle 7 fps of raw images in my 7D.

It can easily do 105-100MB R/W speeds whenever I tested using a USB3.0 reader and it is very very consistent at it.
