So, i'm facing this weird problem since i bought this new rig (1 month ago), were when i play some games (crysis 2, MW2 and Serious Sam 3) on ultra, my screen turns black, all the fans automatically set themselves to max speed and i have to restart it.I am able to play crysis 3, ACBF, Arma 3, Watch Dogs on ultra 60+ fps no issues.

My specs are:

I7 4770k

GTX 780 Ti (asus)

Kingston HyperX Genesis 1866mhz (2x8gb)

Seasonic 850watt 80+ gold x-series

My computer does something SIMILAR but it's due to my overclocks being unstable or if my GPU boosts too high.

Check your temps and don't use any beta driver, just in case.

Check your CPU and GPU connections to your mobo, thats what I have found it does if things aren't correctly in.

Could be gpu driver, overheating, psu problem. Maybe check the event log in windows?

There is no overheating (<45c ingame), i uninstalled all my drivers and installed them again, same problem.I'm thinking about my hardware being new and thus making old games make my pc struggle. Is that even possible?

Had a quite similar thing, make sure your pc is plugged straight to power outlet not to a power strip.

Did you try running on single ram and see if it crashes?
