can someone give a step by step guild on how to overclock a sempron 145?

My specs are

AMD sempron 145

Ubuntu 14.04 LST

asus m5a78L-MLX plus

Gskill 8GB 1600Mhz

Sandisk 64GB SSD

xfx 6450 2GB

I am a total noob when it comes to overclocking and have never done it before.  So i have no idea what i am doing in bios

@tmcclelland455 has the fastest 145 on this forum, so I think he might be able to help you. I'm not too good with overclocking.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.

Usually there's something in the BIOS called the BCLK or something like that. Raise that, or up the multiplier, if you can.

YA! I FOUND IT!  It crashes every time I try to overclock past stock speed...  Guess that means that my processor is a dud for overclocking. :P next time I will get it next time

You could also try the core unlocker thing.

All Semprons have a hidden 2nd core that could be disabled for various reasons, some users have found they can unlock the 2nd core into a Athlon X2 4450e or something.
