780 SLI help me choose

Delerium89

I going to go with SLI GTX 780s, Ive decided I want the classified versions. Im undecided wether to go with the 780 or the 780 ti

My system: i5 4670k @4.6 ghz 16gb DDR3 1600, asus maximus vi formula, corsair ax860

I play at 1440p

Im aiming to be able to run BF4 at 100+ fps at this resolution with everything on ultra

EDIT: I want to clarify I will be either SLI ing 2 780s or 2 780 ti's, people seem to think Im asking 780sli vs a single 780 TI, sorry for the confusion

Get a single 780 ti since I (and many others) have had problems with SLI.

Two 780's would be your best bet imo, they will run 4k, so they can run 1440p at 100+ most likely.  I think getting ti's would be a waste of money.  But if you really want performance like no other...i guess get the ti's

I'm not sure what exactly you're trying to ask... the Ti's will give you better performance but will cost more... both will be able to average over 100 fps in BF4...  are you asking if the Ti's is worth the money over the 780's?  then no, but I'd still do it (but thats just me)

and as the owner of a classified card, I wouldn't pay the extra for a classified over any other custom pcb card unless you're an experience gpu overclocker and plan on hacking the bios and overvolting it.  for your average overclocker the classy doesn't offer anything worth the extra cost.

nope. I have 2 Overclocked 780s and I don't even hit 620watts under gaming load. 860 is more then enough.

watch at 21:30.  in crysis 3 he hit 600 with an amd cpu and 570 with an i5 on a single lightning 780.  he did say it only went that high with crysis 3, but still

Did you read the part where I said "Classifieds"? I should just quote this picture of mine each time I mention "Classifieds" and "PSU":

Single KPE setup with i7 4770k running Heaven. It goes over 850W pulled from the wall running FSE. This is on water by the way, and it gets much higher the cooler you go. On air, you can deduct about a 100-150 W or so since the volts you can provide to the card safely is lower.

With 2 cards I have pulled over 1300W from the wall and that was a limitation from my AX1200i. I will soon have dual PSUs to be sure.
