Corsair Raptor M45 and K40 Sponsor Thread

LinusTech

Corsair's Raptor line of peripherals is positioned as "gaming essentials". While it's easy for someone in my position to completely forget about membrane keyboards and value oriented mice and headsets, there are folks out there that are just looking for "what I need without spending a bunch of money" and want something that delivers solid build quality at a fair price.

That's where Raptor comes in. I'll list the products in order of the ones I think are most interesting.

M45 Gaming Mouse

This mouse offers tremendous bang for the buck. It features the same ergonomic shape as the higher end M65 and M95, but with fewer buttons, a plastic skeleton (making it lighter out of the box, but don't worry you can adjust the weights), and an outstanding optical sensor. I can't think of a reason to not consider the M45 when shopping for a gaming mouse.

K40 Gaming Keyboard

The K40 takes what's already good about the K30 like the 6 programmable macro keys, onboard memory, and solid build quality, then adds a full RGB backlit colour scheme at a very compelling price.

I'd love to see cheaper alternatives to Cherry MX from Cherry. I would also to love to see 40$ mechanical keyboards. This would really make Cherry switches more accessible.

Wait, so the K40 is a mechanical keyboard?

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

The m45 looks really cool, but I have a hard time using mice with that ergonomic design. I think it's called claw grip. I need to try it out though.

  • 3 weeks later...

Nearly shit myself when I saw the price of the K40 keyboard, then I realized it wasn't the mechanical one.
