the 14s is too high, but the 12s is good. Only problem is, it's silver, too. ^^ that's the reason why I'm changing. xD

Read some reviews on the prolima, it's like the awesome underdog cooler, that also looks great.

You could also just buy good fans and spray paint the top of your 212 in a matching color. I'd suggest bequiet silent wings 2 pwm and spray paint the top in a mat black.

Other coolers to look out for: Phanteks PH-TC12DX (doesn't really improve  cooling) and Phanteks PH-TC14PE (maybe incompatible with RAM.)

I am not sure about the noise of the phanteks coolers. All i know is that they are extremeley well built and can compete with bequiet and noctua and such.

who cares...

the first one looks great, the second one doesn't fit with the case. ^^

this thing doesn't get enough praise.

It's 66 and probably in the mid to low 70's ambient in my room and it can keep my chip cool enough to browse the forums, imgur, etc passively in my heat trap R4

literally the fans aren't moving right now.

snip

I once had to run my 4670K /w Dark Rock 2 passiveley for a couple days. With light use it never went over 45.

But a FX 8 core passiveley is impressive! :D

I'm not too happy with my Dar Rock 2, but i allwayws looked at dem phanteks coolers. But they're so expensive! O.o

btw. what program did you use to control the CPU fan within Windows?

who cares...

Hello Folks!

I'm looking for a good/quiet CPU cooler, that is compatible with the Venegance RAM. (the high profile one)

I currently have the EVO 212. I know it's a great cooler, but I just don't like the look of it.

Budget is 50$-70$ if needed.more.

Case is 350D, so keep in mind the height.

Thanks! :)

if you really want the be quiet ones, wait for the Dark Rock 3. they shaved off the height and it's just 160mm now.
