1070ti underperforming?

Hey guys, I recently bought a 1070ti for black friday to replace my 1060 (Yeah I know, not much of an upgrade). However, when I used cinebench to benchmark my 1070ti, it had FPS lower than my 1060. What could be causing the issue?

Do you still have the 1060? Try running Unigine Valley or Superposition on both then compare, IIRC Cinebench's GPU benchmark is pretty meh, I doubt it's doing a proper job of fully using the card. 1070 Ti should be close to a stock 1080 score, espesh if you OC it at all. Much faster than a 1060.

I've found the variance in Cinebench's GPU testing to be ridiculous.  It's also more indicative of your CPU than it is your GPU.  Don't measure your GPU with Cinebench if you want to stay sane.

And here is a prime example.  I expected this run to be in the 110~120 FPS and it was 145.  I only save the scores when they're high and only about 1 out of 20 runs are higher than the normal 110~120 FPS I usually get.  

 

Edit:

I just ran the test again and got 122 and 115.  It's a ridiculous benchmark.

What benchmarking software would you guys recommend for me to use instead? I still have my 1060, so I'm going to test both of them on the same benchmark software.

Like I said above, Unigine Valley or Unigine Superposition. They're handy benchmarks, and good stress tests too. If you wanna see the max temp your GPU gets to, run Unigine Valley at 1440p on a loop for 30 minutes to an hour (at 1080p it wasn't maxing out my 980 Ti, also running with an R5 1600, so you'll wanna run it at 1440p). Unigine Superposition is a great benchmark for comparing GPUs, even at 1080p the extreme preset cripples most GPUs, so you can be sure it'll push both to the max.

So I benchmarked my 1070ti using unigine on 1080p (extreme) and got the following results. Tried the same with my 1060 but the poor thing couldn't even run it lmfao. I also compared my 1070ti results to another person with a similar score and it kinda assures me that my 1070ti is alright and I have nothing to worry about
