I was going to ask what Article 13 is but we can all assume its Brexit.

I never paid no attention to it.

What are the reasons for leaving the EU?

OK from the quick paragraph I read, immigration seems to be the issue. I get that, one side says they help the economy, the other side says the country is not a welfare state. It's a huge problem everywhere, not only in the UK, but in Canada as well. There are always factions that want to leave their country whether it be in the US of A or Canada or the UK. Heck even an entire province wanted to leave Canada.

I dont really know, I think it was because the EU was taking so much money that people wanted put into the NHS (hospitals) and other things. Google says we are leaving on 29 March 2019 at 11pm UK (GMT) time

The EU was also offering open borders with open trade. Now the UK wants all the benefits of the EU without the immigration that comes with it.

That's an F in the profile pic

You haven't left the Union yet. In fact, "Brexit" (if it ever actually happens) will likely take years before you officially leave the Union.

Soooo be careful. You might get stuck with Article 13 anyway, even if only temporarily.

Well, we already found out a long time ago that the NHS money thing was total bullshit. The Brexit guys basically made that claim up.

Exactly, the UK wanted the open trade, but only when it benefited them. They wanted a "Donald Trump" style trade deal (in other words, great for the UK, terrible for their trading partners, and the UK gets everything they possibly want with no downsides).

There are certainly issues with the EU, but a lot of the economic perks of membership are going to be missed by regular people when their trading influence is suddenly massively decreased after Brexit is complete.

I think people need to calm their tits, take a chill pill and actually wait for things to actualize.

Article 13 (along with the rest of the Copyright Amendment) is still a work in progress. Calling it a killer of the internet is pretty far fetched, especially at this point in time.

Also, there's no reason to believe that article 13 won't affect the UK after Brexit. As it has to do with copyright it's likely that it would be a part of whatever treaties are to be made between the UK and the EU.

There's also the general uniformity of the internet. Just like the GDPR had effects outside the EU, so could article 13.
