Never heard of them, that is the difference?

Yup, it's a membrane technically but with very low resistance over a spring that does the work: http://web.archive.org/web/20110506193432/http://www7.ocn.ne.jp/~hisao/image/kb3900t.htm

Very good switch to type on :)

If they are topre and cheap then it maybe worth trying to pick one up as i have heard  good things about topre but have never seen one

I've never tried Topre but seems everyone who has prefers them over anything else.

Ha, to justify their purchase perhaps.  They sure are expensive!

By the way, which switches were you using?  lol

touchscreen switch lol.

goofing off on my tablet.

but to say something more relevant, i've used variable topre, blues, greens, and browns as dailies.  have also used buckling spring, reds, and blacks.

Not me, I do have Topre in my collection, and do use them from time to time.....I prefer 55G Topre to any other switch types, with the exception of my BS Model M that is. If CM can pull it off, I guess Topre key caps would not be needed anymore since you can use Cherry key caps, and with that, greater variety of key caps available for customization.

I would most certainly get such a keyboard when it is released, since I do love 'typing on a cloud of boobs' with Topre.....

i was just refering to all of the 'i love my topre' threads.  they far outnumber 'i love my mx/alps/bs' threads.

not trying to hate on topre/topre users.  personally, i hate my variable considering how much i paid for it, but pressing the 55g esc there makes me thînk i would be more okay with that weighting.  end of the day, i prefer novelty caps, so mx is the way to go; even though BS is the god switch.
