Newegg is trustworthy. Watch out for places like Ali Express.

ebay is fine so long as the seller has good feedback and return options

is this going to be your first PC? it would appear so based on your title.

i'm probably going to get hate for this, but i would suggest getting a pre-built if you don't have much experience with PCs. you need to have a modest understanding of how they work and general troubleshooting before you build your own because if something goes wrong it's not going to be a fun experience.

Yes it is, and not saying g prebuilt computers are bad but I'd rather build it just so I have more experience next time 'round or when I upgrade it. I've also watched plenty of videos to help with building, although I may need a refresh

Buy directly from Newegg instead of using any retailer's marketplace. Buy a surge suppressor or UPS for your PC and get Malwarebytes while its in sale.
