So I'm hoping to get some advice on choosing a tablet as a Christmas gift for my partner.

She runs a small business and a tablet would be quite beneficial to her. It will be mainly used for expenses, emails, forms and general admin work; which means I need something that won't be slow in app usage over the course of a few hours.

I had a brief look around and it seems the best would be the iPad 9.7 @£300.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Budget is slightly flexible if it's worth it, but around the £300 mark would be best.

Thanks

i vote for the iPad 2018 too.

iOS is just so much superior to Android (when it comes to Tablets!!). OS is better optimized to make use of the Screen size, more and better quality Apps, more consistent Battery life AND Performance over time.

For that Business thing: Even more iPad. Thanks to long updates and support from Apple AND App Developers there are tons of productive Apps that will be helpfull for organizing stuff in business stuff, even many things that can be used with the Apple Pencil. Can help alot moving many things into "Paperless".

Echoing the iPad recommendation.  And it's not even that I'm partial to Apple, it's that Google and its hardware partners seemingly have no idea how to create an ecosystem for good Android tablets and native Android tablet apps.  If you want to get work done with a tablet, you get an iPad.

(Yes, I know Surface tablets run full Windows, but they lose much of their appeal  the moment you take the keyboard away.)
