Will RTX 2080 be bottlenecked by 7700k?

I am playing at 1440P 144hz and just bought an rtx 2080. Should I upgrade my 7700k to a newer version? My wallet has taken a pounding from the 2080 itself lol.

Maby in big open world games and battlefield games that are optimised for 16 threads but probly not to the point u need a new cpu
