Is my GPU dead? or is it something else..

LordKishius

Hello, yesterday I booted up my pc like any other day, put on game to download and went to get some food. When I came back the pc had frozen, no display and couldn't turn off/on my keyboard's lights, so I had no choice but to go with a hard reset. When I turned it back on the resolution was 1337x768 and the pc was just not detecting the gpu anymore ( code 43 ).

My setup;

GTX 970 Gigabyte windforce 4gb OC
I7 4770
MSI B85M-P33
Radix v2 AG 700w 80+ silver

I have an HDMI cable running from my monitor to the GPU, even when the pc starts I can't understand how I get display ( no sound however ) while I don't have a VGA connected to the motherboard, and all 3 fans of the gpu are working.

Things I've tried:

Ran DDU in safemode and installed the latest driver version, even tried a previous one.
Updated Bios.
Reseated the gpu and checked for any dust.

I'm lost, any help would be appreciated.
