Choosing a new monitor

I've had my 34" Ultra Wide (UW) for about 3 years now and I love it but it still leaves something to be desired and it's just SO massive. I've been considering selling it and getting a 4K 30+ inch monitor as my main display. I've currently got a 27" 1080p monitor as my secondary display.

I love the UW for video editing but beyond that it's not super helpful. I don't use "side by side" windows very often, but I'm afraid that if I sell it and get a new one that I'll miss it. Also, my desk is only about 60" wide so adding a third display it out of the question.

I'm looking for suggestions, I'll even consider 2K monitors.

Also if possible, I want to get a high refresh rate display BUT only if I can get it in IPS. Since whatever display I get will replace the UW it'll end up being my main display.

Budget, I'd like to keep it around $500 - $700 USD (only if it's just that amazing of a monitor though)

I HATE shopping because I find it to be overwhelming
