Thank you for that!  Okay, so how about upgradability?  Is the consumer Ryzen generations capable of upgrading to the next via BIOS upgrade, similar to the TR?

Yes, they're doing that along both lines.  the AM4 setup is good for Ryzen, Ryzen+, Zen2, and onward.  I think thru 2020?  Who knows about Intel, but maybe they'll adopt AMD's system since buying new motherboards sucks.

Awesome!  I think I'm going to look into that more. I think I'm kinda stuck with wanting an Asus board.  I like their innovative nature.  I am open to looking at others, but I'm just going by what I know.

Sorry, I only used it because I'm currently a console gamer; and, like in the military, we use terms to poke a little fun at each other.  I didn't mean anything rude by it.

Thanks for your input.  I guess the things like the capabilities of displays have improved so much, that I'm unsure if there's any perceivable difference or if the manufacturers are giving us the placebo affect.

Use pc master race all you want lol don't know what Arikas problem is the term is literally everywhere most people on this forum use it. Personally I don't but I'm ok with it :P

I wouldnt worry about the CPU in regards to upgradability. It will last a very long time. Im still using a 2nd generation intel i series for example (sandybridge 3930k)

Thank you!  I'm going to check these things out.  You may have helped me save some ?

Also, Microcenter has the 8700K for $329 (back to release price), so check bundles there too to save even more cash...

Hitting 5GHz with the 8700K is relatively easy too.
