Water Cooling Space Issue

Evening,

I5-8600K OC to 4.5

Case 570X ATX Mid-Tower

Mobo ROG Strix Z370-H

Problem: Been looking to move to the ROG RYUO 240 all in one liquid CPU cooler (2x 120mm) however the overall depth is 52mm and my case only allows for 50mm. I've tried everything I can think of without physically modding the case to make up the missing 2mm.

Question: Any ideas how to mod to move the items around to fit a liquid cooler with a total depth of 52mm? There are additional mounting locations but I have heart set on dual fan location on top of the case. And yes this purely a want situation.

I would just bend the tabs up top with my hands but thats me. Theres not much you can do and i would highly recommend not taking off the VRM heatsyncs. If it doesnt fit, then it doesnt fit unless you make it fit.

take off the mobo heatsink and shave off a couple mm with a dremmel, it will not harm vrm performance

  1. get a couple of 120 x 20 fans
  2. get 100mm fans and mount on 120mm adaptors
  3. drill new mounting holes with rad further from mb
