Not cnet' date=' cnet is biased. Anandtech, tomshardware, etc. [/quote']

Yeah, don't use CNET for your tech news. Here's why:

Their latest debacle:

They are owned by CBS. When a writer gave the Dish Hopper the winning award at CES, CBS forced CNET to remove it.

The Verge is great also for pretty much everything tech-related. Not much PC coverage though if that's what you're specifically looking for.

Anandtech - does indepth reviews of high profile releases (CPU,GPU,SSD, and to some extent some smartphone)

Tomshardware - an unorthodox review site featuring in depth look and comparison between older and newer tech, also shows some very interesting articles)

xbitlabs - imo the best site that reviews CPU because they usually include results for OC and NON OC with power consumption figures and performance comparison

GSMARENA - Phone database and good at reviewing smartphones

PhoneArena - very indepth comparison between contemporary smartphones (camera, display, battery life, performance)

TheVerge - All around tech news

Jonnyguru - specializes in PSU (efficiency, voltage stability, overload, noise, temps, acoustics)

Hardwaresecrets - also specializes in PSU but also do a good review on cases

Frostytech - specializes on Cooling

the frequency @ tunein - some random news about tech on radio

notebookcheck.net - specializes in reviewing notebook/ultrabook

forum.notebookreview.com - a very good database for info on notebooks

head-fi.org - specializes on sound system(DAC, Amplifier, Sound Cards, Headphones, Earplugs)

tftcentral.co.uk - specializes on Monitor(Color Accuracy, input lag, etc...)

flatpanelshd - also specializes on Display

camcorderinfo - specializes in camcorders

Yeah, we're all just a bunch of idiots experiencing nothing more than the placebo effect.

first one should be LinusTechTips.com

I actually find tech section of google news to be quite convenient.

And of course, for top-notch reports & articles go to Anandtech

That's just how I roll though.

And I "almost" forgot.. gearslutz.com for professional audio if that's what you're into. It's REALLY good!

How is Cnet biased? They are mostly a news site and they only do some TV, phone, monitor reviews which are very detailed and totally unbiased.

I wouldn't go on THW. They used to have really interesting reviews but now they have questionable content on their articles.

Linus is the best. There is no doubt about that.
