Need Some Help

So...

My CPU is stuck to the heat-sink

I am trying isopropyl alcohol right now, anything else I should try if that doesn't work

Try it with dental wire. Very gently place it in between and proceed with a saw-like motion. It is very delicate wire so wont damage any of the components and might just be enough to separate the cooling paste.

Maybe try sticking a flat screw driver in between and twisting gently.

I was doing that before but the silicon started to come away from the metal part

I tried both these along with alcohol to no luck

The dental wire could not get between the CPU and heat-sink

Could not get in between? Can you include a picture of what we are dealing with. We can provide better guidance this way. Didn't expect that

Well...

I got it, took a chisel and hammer to it and it popped of, minor damage to the heatsink

heat the heatsink to about 130-150c then whack it.

Did you use thermal adhesive instead of paste? It shouldn't be that hard to have it come apart.

I can't remember what I used, I think it was paste...

Have you tried Hair Dryer, to heat the components then use knife .

Was it the bottle with a gorilla on it? Because that is what it sounds like to me lol.

lol I found what I used, It was thermal plaster from china, maybe I was out of paste and used that
