Step one: Get an Ethernet cable. A Cat5e cable is recommended.

Step two: Plug one end of the cable into any of the Ethernet ports on your router.

Step three: Plug the other end of the cable into your switch.

 

Should be all plug and play from there.

To add to @Crunchy Dragon's Cat5 cable. The Cat is just the speed in which the cable can transfer your network speed. Keep in mind that just because the cable can run something like 1gig or 10gigs, that isn't the speed you will get. Your speed will be based on your ISP.
