Definitely not. Just to mirror the above I upgraded my 1070 to a 2080ti just to stop making things look like a potato in vr.

Run the steam vr test and post results here please.

I would say you may be able to run some VR with your PC, but it will be a pretty terrible experience.

Can you post the actual steam VR image?

I'm surprised your CPU is holding up, but if it is good news!

Look at a 1050ti 4GB (another forum user posted this will work on most VR titles), or if possible a 1060 6GB min.

Vive is harder to run than Rift.

Right your CPU is dual core plus hyperthreading so in applications that utilise the hyperthreading it will act (basically) more like a 4 core CPU.

The GPU's I suggested should get you into the low/mid capable bracket.

BUT you must understand you will have a pretty poor framerate, and that in VR is not good. Simple applications, you will enjoy but some of the more demanding stuff you will not be able to run well at all.

A really good budget upgrade would be a used GTX970.

The next question is what games do you really want to play in VR?
