well if the SATA controller needs to take a little extra time to initiate the HDD aswell i guess you could end up with marginally slower boots? thats about it unless as already said, some boot stuff are on the HDD

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

Yes at varying degree, all depending on the HDD.

The general rule is the more hardware you have, the more time it takes. These can be nano seconds to several second.

Some components needs to "boot" themselves up (example: your graphics card. That is why you need to wait several seconds before the image shows on the displays. Intel graphic solutions are super fast.. Nvidia/AMD... well graphic card manufacture don't care. No reviewer checks for that).
