I used to have the CH6 it got replaced with a CH7 through an RMA process but as long as you update the BIOS to the latest version then you should not have a problem with that ram, X370 RAM incompatibilities have come a long long way.  I had RAM issues with my Corsair Vengeance LED 2x16gb 3000MHz kit initially, but with the latest bios updates, it is no longer an issue. So I would feel safe with the CH6. But you might as well just save the money and go for a 3000Mhz or 3200MHz kit, the money spent getting a 3600MHz kit or faster is better spent on other components.

Im currently looking to get a r5 2600 and pair it with a "high end" x370 board for the cost savings. The only x370 board im is the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero.

My concern is the lack of coverage of how far ram support on the x370 platform has progressed. I want to use a 3600mhz cl15 kit to minimize the ram bottleneck (because ryzen). Anyone have some experience with these boards? Is this just a bad Idea? Should I just cave and get the x470 ROG CS Hero?

 

PS. As far as im aware I know that this board can atleast push 3200mhz (all ive seen are cl 18-19-19 though).
