Where do you live in this glorious state of ours.

I live in Redding, a fairly small town

My PC specs:

I live in southern California. Its a fairly warm climate. With the odd exception when we got snow 5-6 years ago in the Inland Empire.

here in southern BC it's actually just... regular. Every day it's around 6-8°C and it's just cloudy as f***. I am SO jealous of other parts of the continent that  are being battered by the nature right now. (seriously)

Well in Nov. it was cold in Idaho....Like the high was -1 F for a few weeks!! But now it has been nice like 40 F so it is not that bad in Idaho but that is all I can say....

News articles are constantly popping on the internet of how cold it is in North America. How bad is it really?

Considering Florida is usually 10 to 20C and they're right about 0 right now....

 

And North Dakota is hitting -34C...

 

And the road by my friend's has 6 feet tall drifts, yeah. It's bad.

 

Right now it's 1:50AM, -17C, but feels like -26, and the high for today is -9, but will probably only hit -11 or -10.

-37 F with windchill haven't had school for 3 days! 16 inches of snow. me and one neighbor had to clear our whole street, because its been 4 days since it started to snow, and still not plowed.  the snow drifts are so bad, its waist high in most places. yay Michigan 

Go us! My friend's road has 6 foot tall drifts... He couldn't even see out his window this morning.

Water pipes are busting. People can't go to work. It's snowing. 

It's hell on earth (for Texas). 

A water line burst in the high school. I might not really make it there by Thursday.

MUUUUURICA!

Getting really sick of that meme, its starting to get  insulting.

Anyway I live in Duluth, Minnesota and it has been below 0 for the last 3 weeks.  yesterday morning it was -50 F outside  (-45 c) (including wind chill) and publics schools have been closed for the last two days

tonight its only about -15 F with a wind chill that makes it feel like -33 F degrees.

So yeah pretty damn cold but, the funny thing is that you get used to it especially when -10 sounds almost normal and anything above zero sounds pretty damn warm.

I live in Vancouver, Washington. It was - at one point, this winter - six degrees Fahrenheit here. For reference, that same day at the same time, it was more than twice as warm in Vancouver, Canada.
