I have a i7 7700K with a GTX 1050. I want to buy a RTX 2070 STRIX but i have see people saying that there is bottleneck ad i dot know what to do ow since i want a more powerful GPU such as the RTX 2070. Can anyone recommend one to me that i can run. I'm aiming to play PUBG on at least high or very high. And also Fortnite on high.

You will not bottleneck with the 7700k and a RTX2070.

Honestly, there's no point in trying to get a 'balanced' system. Sometimes, at a lower res, the CPU is the bottleneck, but at higher res and ingame setting, the GPU becomes the bottleneck. Look at my systems, i7 2600K + GTX 1080/i7 4770K + RTX 2080 Ti/i7 3960X + 2x RX VEGA 64, for sure at lower res (like 1080P, my CPU's would bottleneck their respective GPU's, but I play at higher res therefore stressing the GPU more (3440x1440, max ingame video setting whenever possible).

 

For example, I'm playing Metro 2033 Redux at 3440x1440 with my 2x VEGA 64 rig, I maxed all ingame video setting except for SSAA at 0.5x and no PhysX, I get about 150fps to >200fps (one can argue that CPU's limiting the framerate, but when it >100fps, who cares?). When I push the SSAA setting to 2.0x, my framerate drops to 50fps to 80fps.....still good enough framerate for my Freesync monitor, and undoubtedly, my GPU's are the bottleneck in this instant.

i'm assuming you have a 60hz monitor? no bottlenecking there, whatever bottlenecking you get on a 7700k will be very slight. perfectly good cpu for gaming in 2018
