Mac OS status monitoring

Hello!

I have been searching app which could let me see various stats from my MacBook sensors. Like in Windows10 - HWMonitor.

I know about ISTAT and Monit, but I saw that some people use the same HWMonitor.

Maybe someone could share, which Apps using?

I'm using iSTAT menus, it's paid but it's damn good, looks great, and there's tons of option for how and what it displays and where.

Otherwise iStats is nice.

  • 2 weeks later...

SMCFanControl lets you monitor sensors and... well... control the fans.

And it's free. I used to use it back in the day to max out the fans on my old MBPs so that it wouldn't overheat.

EDIT: Seems I'm remembering incorrectly. It doesn't let you monitor everything, just temp and fan speed.

Macs Fan Control lets you at least watch one diode at a time in your menu bar. And adjust your fans. And it's free.

You just first gotta find out what the hottest sensor is in your Mac.
