GPU usage drops to 6% while playing

Hey all, while palying Overwatch I can see taht the GPU drops to 5-6%. As show in the picture (yellow). My GPU is RTX 2080. Is it because OW is unoptimised, drives?

My GPU runs at 5% while playing Rise/Shadow of the Tomb Raider at ultra settings 1080p (60Hz w/ V-Sync). 60fps flat with no dips and nice temps in the 60C range.

I'd figure that your GPU is just powerful enough to handle the settings you're running in easily with a low load %.

Menus drop me to 60Hz even with the 3d animations, so I think that's your low usage. Either way it's only gonna take the power it needs to render to a cap if you cap your frame rate.

Yeah pretty much that would be it. If the frame rate is capped then GPU usage will fall to whatever it needs to render those frames. What is your cpu usage? If your CPU is bottle necking the GPU then you would also see lower usage. Most likely it's because the frame rate is limited. Those drops might happen when you have menus open or something like that which reduces the work needed to render at that time. Poor optimization could contribute but it wouldn't cause it to be that low on it's own.
