Is 550W PSU enough?

Hi. I have Corsair RMx Series RM550x 550W and recently upgraded to RTX 2080. Is my PSU enough for my setup?

 

i5 6500

RTX 2080

2x RAM 8 GB 2133 MHz

1x SSD

5x fan CASE

1x fan CPU

Yes. Your 550W PSU will not have issues powering a 300W PC.

It's enough for everything but an OC'd i9 9900k and OC'd RTX 2080 Ti. Btw, you're gonna bottleneck insanely, unless you're playing at 4k@60Hz, in which case will bottleneck just a bit.

Everything should be ok, there is some myths that weaker PSU could not be able to provide enough power to the components thus lower performance, but I doubt that would be the case.

Graphics cards cannot detect the PSU is weak. They just try to pull as much power as they need, and if this triggers the power supply's over-power protection, the PSU shuts down.
