How to fix damaged headphone jack on S8

Buyingbf_

Just recently had my headphone cable get caught on something and it caused my headphone connector to pull out. I know all my gear is fine, tried different cables, headphones, and devices. Audio output is fine on right ear, left is extremely quiet. If I turn up to full volume left ear starts to have static.

I'm wondering if there's something I could do inside the jack without opening up my phone, like take some precision tweezers from iFixit and pull back a contact point or something.

You'll probably have to pull it open to see whats wrong and replace it.

Phone repairs a lot easier than most think. Follow an ifixit guide and be prepared with the right tools and you'll be good to go

Or just take it to a qualified phone repair place if you're not confident

Buy a replacement headphone jack and replace the jack is probably going to be the only way to fix it if you damaged one of contact pins.
