Razer Core v2 FPS Issues with GTX1080

thriftcm

Hello all,

I picked up a Razer Core v2 to plug into my Razer Blade 15" To provide an extra graphics boost when I am at home. I currently have an MSI Aero GTX1080 card in it and that is driving an LG 34UC79-B (dsiplayport) monitor and a TCL 55" TV (HDMI). I game on the ultrawide LG. When I first got the enclosure, everything was great. I was playing fortnite at 144fps solid on high settings. However, when I hopped over to Overwatch, the game had unbelievable fps drops that made the game unplayable. After some back and forth with the blizzard team and nvidia, I found only ONE graphics driver that works and that is the desktop version 390.65. What is weird is this is ONLY limited to games launched from the battle.net launcher. Fortnite, Rocket League, etc work just fine on the latest drivers.

I just got Black Ops 4, which as you probably know is launched from the bnet launcher, and the game cannot get above 50 fps in multiplayer or blackout on the LOWEST settings. This is baffling to me and I cannot figure out how to get my frames up in that game specifically.

Anyway, my question to you is: Is there something that I am missing that isnt allowing me to access my GPUs full potential in games launched from the Battle.net launcher?

Have you checked task manager for usage?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Did you select the card in the setting and increased the frame limiters in the lobby and game?

Also are you mirroring the laptop or selecting the game to run on the tv as an extended display.
