Ryzen 2200g

I’m not too good at measuring cpu power but how good is a ryzen 2200g. Like for example, a 1070 ti can play 4k if you lower some settings. So if I have a 1070 ti with a cheap cpu like a 2200g how exactly will this go?

I'd argue your experience would be better if you went with a R5 2600 and a GTX1070 instead.

It's generally a bad idea to pair a low end CPU with a high end GPU, even at 4K.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

I originally had that cpu in mind, it’s just that the extra $60 is really pushing it. Believe it or not

And you already have a 1070Ti?

Because honestly, the price difference between the 2200G and 2600 and the 1070 and 1070Ti is more or less the same.

You must be kidding right? You mean you can afford 4K display and 1070 ti but you can't afford a better cpu which is much more important than any of the previous?

I’ve been trying to max out gameplay for my price man, you can do it if you try.

Drop from 4k to 1440p, enjoy the extra fps. Then spend the saved money on a better CPU. It's a win/win scenario.

Suprisingly you can’t find a 1440p monitor under $250

That's pretty bizarre. Honestly I would rather invest in a good platform with a moderate GPU than the other way around. A bad CPU will always limit you whereas a bad GPU is dependent on resolution and settings.

Is the 2200g that bad? I guess I’ll change some things up. Thanks
