This is the exact price range I am looking for in an RX 580 8gb - but I wont be buying because of the obvious thermal issues.  I have good airflow but not willing to risk it.

IMO, it's a better idea to get a used GTX 970 rather than this oven

My setup has a 200mm fan intaking right on my GPUs - I don't think that's enough to help this card lol

It really kills the value of the deal, but you can pick up a waterblock for this for around 50ish if you look around. With a waterblock this would actually be a decent little middle range car you can overclock. Without.... it is going to be a space heater.

 

Now all that aside you can get used 970's for $80-120 used.  You can get 980's for 150-180ish. A 980 would be a much better buy in this case.
