i though the galaxy player was so bad they stopped producing it. Apple pretty much has the best audio quality for devices like that so its the ipod hands down

I've noticed horrible hissing when I plug headphones into my Android phone. Does this issue occur on the Galaxy Player?

Ipod.

Unless you torrent your music like most android users, in which case either.

The music app on ios works out the box, though. Google play music or whatever it's called now is a pos that jitters and stutters (on a galaxy S3 at least, especially in power saving mode) and stutters when you move in and out of wifi signal range.
