Hey Guyz.. 

 

I have an old dell precision t3500 which has xeon w3565 in it.. i really wanted to overclock it i know my motherboard doesn't support overclocking but is there any way to overclock it by software? i tried intel extreme tuning utility but that didn't work for me.. i woonder if there is any moded bios that can overclock it so plz give me the link i will be very thankful to you

If your motherboard doesn't support overclocking then you will not be able to overclock regardless of what method you try. Sorry about that.

Oh i have one more question should i spent 35$ for x5670 which has more cores and threads and that .. i don't have a gpu right now but i m buying it i m looking for like rx 460 , r9 270x or 750ti

I would prioritize getting the gpu but yeah the 5670 is a pretty good processor. For now your 3565 should be fine though. Your current system is on the x58 platform which can use the 5500 and 5600 series xeons. If you have questions about this platform a good place to go is the link below.

you can only overclock w3570 - 3680 -  3690 throttle stop will work
