Whenever I record it lags extremely bad.

I've used a few recorders over the years and i've mostly used movavi screen capture 8 and OBS, but every time I use them my game lags really badly, OBS being a bit worse. It drops my frames so hard to the point where I can't play whatever im recording, from CS:GO to Rainbow six, it just lags really bad, i'm not sure what to do

 

my graphics card is a AMD rx 470 and my processor is an Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz

 

my memory is 8192mb ram

I don't have experience with AMD graphics cards, but on the Nvidia side I can use NVENC to take the load off the CPU and put it on the GPU which greatly improves my performance. You should check if you have a similar option for an AMD card in the settings menu here:

Oh. My recording was on ‘same as stream’so I didn’t see that tab
