Best VPN for simple access to region locked services??

Need to signup a my first VPN subscription so I can access region locked US sites.

 

Situation: HUGE consumer of superhero tv shows (The Flash, Arrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D etc.) Main canadian channel (CTV) has stopped carrying 1 or more of the shows however the American CW channel still allows for post broadcast streaming but is region locked.

 

My hypothesized solution: use a simple pay once a year subscription to any reputable VPN (Nord, PIA, Tunnelbear, etc) I DO NOT need bells and whistles or creature comforts, and I don't torrent.

 

any help or advise is welcome

LTT official vpn is PIA and I have had great experiences with it over the last few years.

Probably Nord.  I know it will get past things PIA cannot (Netflix in your context)

 

If you just need an occasional youtube video though free tunnelbear will do

I wish there are some a free good VPN and I could use it on my Netflix

Well, with free VPNs you become the product most of the time, because who knows what they do with your data, gotta make profits somehow. Furthermore, Netflix aggressively blocks VPNs. I use NordVPN and if servers get blocked I just contact the support for a list of the working ones. So far so good. While I would like a free alternative, it most likely won't happen. Meanwhile, there are deals online like this, 60 bucks for a year isn't that bad. You can always try the free 3-day trial version and see for yourself. Or try other VPNs and see which do you like the most.

If you get NORD you don't have to install the Win program if you're not torrenting

and you're only going to need a VPN while in a browser.

Just install the NORD browser add-on and you will be covered for anything you do through a browser.
