The resolution isn't an ultrawide resolution. Both are going to be a fraction of your screen but the 3840 is going to be better if you want to view it in a standard screen. So if you plan on showing the video to anyone then the 3840 is better.

4096x2160 = 4k = 17:9

3840x2160 = UHD-1 = 16:9

 

Both are called 4k because UHD-1 is a stupid name.
