Laptop LCD adhesive leak - will sealing all openings fix the issue?

If my laptop LCD adhesive leaks, can i seal all the openings to prevent further leaking? or is there no hope?
 

Dell Xps 9q33.

I have never heard of anything similiar to that, a photo of the problem would be nice.

It can look as bad as this (taken from the web, mine is leaking but i've yet found the source)

I dont see how that can be repairable at home (besides than replacing whole touchscreen/digitizer), it seems like its the adhesive between touchscreen/digitizer and panel itself.

Yes, all I'm asking is, if I prevent it from leaking out, will it at least prevent further deterioration of the LCD?
I'm seriously thinking of putting even some kind of tape,just because im too broke to get a new laptop or get the screen fixed ?
