ultrawide curved with xbox one?

can i use a 21:9 ultrawide with a console and use the whole 21:9 display with it? i once tried to use a 1080p monitor with my xbox one and the graphic was abysmal. is there a difference between tv and monitor?

Q1: No, Consoles only output 16:9

 

Q2: Monitors (normally) have lower response times and TV's have a bunch of processing and things that makes you controller lag. Game mode can help but, not all the time.

 

I use a monitor for any type of gaming I do.
