Would a 360mm fit in a Corsair 460x

MrChemistryCow9

Hi, I found a good deal on a Corsair 460x, but I noticed the 360mm radiator looks like it'd be slightly cut off. I then saw that you could fix one if you remove the 3.5" drive bay. If I were to get it and transfer my components, could I fit a 360mm radiator and a 3.5" drive? I don't care where exactly the drive is as long as it works. The 360mm radiator would be the radiator from the EK Waterblocks Fluid Gaming A360G kit. Thanks in advance for any help.

Without the 3.5" cage, and the PSU shroud extension.

Fan + radiator takes up too much space.

With the 3.5" cage mounted you only have about 25mm / 30mm of space -- which is enough for a case fans.

Standard radiators are 28mm ~ 38mm thick...so you'll need ~60mm of clearance.

Corsair's specification page for the case states that it natively supports 360MM radiators. If you do not alter the case, e.g. keep the 3.5" cage, it should fix per the specifications of the case. I would recommend however you do some research on this by yourself, as knowing firsthand will be infinitely more helpful then me just glimpsing at the Corsair webpage.

Why can't I use the PSU Shroud? It should be fine. Also would there be another place I could stash my 3.5 inch drive?

There are some pretty seedy places you can hide a 3.5" drive bay in cases. Just be creative, the back, top of PSU shroud, and other spaces all work.

The PSU shroud EXTENSION piece.

You should be able to use the PSU shroud WITHOUT the extension that normally hides the 3.5" cage.
